Stem Cell programs provide students with hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture and adult or embryonic stem cell culture. Stem cells are used in university research laboratories, commercial efforts, and medical institutes as they have the potential to differentiate into many different types of cell and therefore have therapeutic applications. Working with stem cells generally involves cell culture, molecular laboratory techniques such as PCR, and analysis with instrumentation such as microscopes.
Course may include:
- Cell and Molecular Biology
- Cell Culture
- General Chemistry and Chemical Analysis
- Animal Biology
