CCURI Regional Poster Session and Bio-Link Conference
Event Date(s): Thursday, November 20, 2014 - 08:00am UTC to Monday, November 24, 2014 - 07:45am UTC
The Community College Undergraduate Research Initiative (CCURI) uses an inquiry-based teaching model where students are exposed to real world science through a case study in an introductory course followed by a hands-on research experience resulting from questions about or related to the case. CCURI will be hosting a poster session and Bio-Link conference in November in Charolotte, NC. The poster session will be held at Gaston College and CCURI partners may bring up to 5 students and 2 faculty. Registration is open until October 24th. Bio-Linkers are also allowed to bring a student but do not have too! Bio-Linkers can just come and find out more about CCURI!
The conference portion will be held on Friday November 21st and focus on networking and leveraging relationships to create a successful and sustainable undergraduate research program at community colleges.
The Student Poster Session will be on Saturday November 22nd at Gaston College.
Please register through the CCURI Events (www.ccuri.org) page. There are at least 7 scholarship slots for "Bio-Linkers" who are not CCURI members, please contact Linnea Fletcher at email@example.com or Steve Spurlock at firstname.lastname@example.org. A total of 20 "Bio-Linkers" can come! Scholarship "Bio-Linkers" will be reimbursed for travel and hotel accomodations so it important to contact Linnea or Steve first --and keep your receipts!
