The event will bring community college faculty, high school teachers, representatives from organizations focused on biotechnology, biomanufacturing, regenerative medicine, biofuels/industrial biotechnology, and biomedical devices all together to learn from each other and to develop a network of educational programs to support industry needs for biotechnicians. There will be four seperate sessions: Tools for the Bioeconomy; Faces of Success - Career Pathways of Community College Graduates; Workforce Readiness for Bioscience Emerging Technologies; and Biotech Education Goes Global - International Collaboration in the Education and Training of Biotechnology Technicians. The event will also include what is sure to be a very interesting keynote speech from Peter Pellerito, vice president for state government relations and alliance development for the Biotechnology Industry Organization.
